Ascent of Sorrow
With heavy hearts we forge ahead,
Upon the trails where shadows tread.
Each step a weight, each breath a strain,
We climb through sorrow, bear the pain.
The peaks above, a distant glow,
Yet in our chests, the burdens grow.
But still we rise, despite the throes,
For in the heights, the spirit knows.
Each rocky step, a tale untold,
Of hopes and dreams that dare be bold.
So through the ache, our spirits sing,
What does not break us, makes us wing.
Altitude Melancholy
Upon the craggy heights I tread,
Where clouds embrace the sunlit snow,
Each step I take, deep doubts I shed,
Yet heavier weighs the heart’s low glow.
With every glance at skies so blue,
The peaks stand proud, but shadows seep,
For all the heights I dare pursue,
A hollow silence makes me weep.
Each breath of air a bitter sweet,
The summit calls, yet pulls me down,
In lofty dreams, I face defeat,
As awe and ache share the crown.
I climb toward the light above,
With every rise, my spirit wanes;
For in the heights, elusive love,
Leaves me to wrestle with my pains.
Ascent of Sorrow
In shadows cast by granite high,
Where whispers of the lost winds sigh,
Each step a weight, each breath a strain,
Mountains echo tales of pain.
Beneath the peaks, the heart does ache,
In silence thick, the courage shake,
Yet every rise, however steep,
Awakes the dreams we dare to keep.
The path is worn, with scars of time,
Each boulder holds a whispered rhyme,
Through trials faced, we stumble, crawl,
Yet find the strength to stand up tall.
For pain, though harsh, is not in vain,
It carves the spirit, shapes the brain,
In every steep, where shadows blend,
We learn that longing leads to mend.
