Dinner Disputes
In the kitchen, spices flare, Lurking glares, a heated glare. Dinners served with flair and fight, Whispers sharp as kitchen knives. Forks and knives, a clinking song, In the shadows, tensions throng. Smiling faces, but hearts on fire, Love's thin line stretched like a wire. A taste of salt, a dash of spice, Every compliment comes with a price. Through the laughter, the envy we find, In monster-in-law, the ties unwind.
Compliments with Fangs
In her smile, a gilded grace, A dagger's edge in soft embrace. Each cheeky jest, a knowing glance, Wrapped in charm, a wicked dance. Her wisdom, sharp as winter's chill, A lesson learned, against my will. Yet in her ribald jests, I find, A heart beneath the clever grind. Oh, how she wields her wit so fine, Each compliment a twisted line. In barbed wire cloaked in velvet hue, A monster turned, a friend or foe anew.
