Dreams in Shadow
In isolation's tender clutch,
Where shadows weave their silent tales,
Dreams unravel, losing touch,
As calmness cloaks the heart that pales.
The night unfolds its velvet moan,
Each star a distant, fleeting gleam,
In quiet darkness, lost, alone,
I chase the echoes of a dream.
Walls reverberate with whispered sighs,
My thoughts entwined in webs of night,
Longest hours yield heavy goodbyes,
Yet hope still flickers, softly bright.
The Weight of Silence
A single tear traces my cheek,
In shadows where whispers dare not speak.
The world outside, a distant glow,
Yet here in the dark, I’ve no place to go.
Loneliness wraps like an old, frayed shawl,
Each thread a sorrow, punctuating the fall.
Isolation's embrace, both heavy and tight,
The flickering stars seem to fade from the night.
With every heartbeat, I ache to be heard,
But silence lingers, an unbroken word.
I find solace in moonlight, soft and pale,
Yet dreams of connection drift like a sail.
Though alone in this vast, echoing space,
I search for the warmth of an unseen face.
In the stillness, the tear flows free,
A testament to the longing in me.
