Regret's Orchard
In the garden where shadows weave, A choice that fell, none could conceive. An apple gleamed with secrets deep, In silence sown, my heart does weep. From autumn's breath to winter's chill, Each season lingers, time stands still. With every bloom, a whispered sigh, What sweetness lost, what dreams gone by. With spring’s embrace, the blossoms wake, Yet every petal bears the ache. For if that fruit within his hand, Had not been plucked, a brighter land. As summer fades, and dusk descends, Regret ripens, my heart contends. In twilight’s glow, I find my peace, Yet through the years, does torment cease?
The Fruit of Inquiry
Beneath the boughs of paradise green, Where whispers of knowledge in shadows convene, Curiosity blooms, a tempting delight, As Adam reaches forth in the soft morning light. The apple dangles, a promise untold, With secrets of wisdom in its skin, pure gold, What dreams would unfurl if he dared to partake, To taste of the truth in the choice he would make? In the garden, where innocence gently lingers, A spark of rebellion ignites through his fingers, Each bite a question, each seed a quest, To know the unknown—a longing unconfessed. Oh, what if the choice had not been a fall, But a rising of minds, embracing the call? In the heart of the orchard, curiosity gleams, A world painted vast with the colors of dreams.
