Feline Fugitives
In a cardboard castle, my feline friend dwells, Plotting escape routes with mischievous spells. With a twitch of his tail and a glint in his eye, He dreams of great journeys beneath the blue sky. A paw on the flaps, he eyes the great outdoors, Mice press their noses against tiny front doors. With each soft meow, he maps out the scenes, Of grassy green rulers and territories of beans. But oh, what a trap this box has become, A fortress of laughter, his own little hum. He stretches and yawns, as the hours roll past, For it’s not just a box, it’s his royal contrast. So onward he plots, while I’m lost in a grin, My clever fur captain with dreams to begin. For at night he may scheme of escape for a while, But tomorrow's adventures will have to wait, as he smiles.
The Furniture Tango
In a dance of chaos, the couch takes a lead, Two left feet stumbling, oh, what do we need? Sofa spins wildly, like a waltz gone astray, The recliner, bemused, says, "Not today!" Chairs in a conga, they shuffle and sway, The coffee table grumbles, "Please clear the way!" With each awkward shuffle, the lampshade complains, "Who's moving furniture? I'm losing my chains!" We laugh through the madness, our plans come undone, As boxes crash softly, oh what a fun run. So here’s to the uproar, a misplaced delight, In this furniture tango, we dance through the night!
