Hippos in Contemplation
In the fading light where shadows lie,
A ponderance beckons to the gentle giant,
Hippos, cloaked in twilight's sigh,
Pause amidst waters, serene and defiant.
Thoughts ripple softly through the dusky air,
Echoes of laughter, whispers of woes,
Amidst reeds and reflections, they linger with care,
Beneath the twilight, where the cool river flows.
What dreams drift beneath that placid skin,
Of sunlit days and the mud's embrace?
In silence profound, where musings begin,
Their earthly wisdom, an unhurried grace.
So here, in the shadows, they dwell and reflect,
Life's simple truths in the chorus of night,
Hippopotamus pauses, a moment unchecked,
In the tranquil depths, they find their own light.
Embrace of Muddy Dreams
In the river's lap where shadows play,
A mother's love in muddy embrace,
Her gentle roar, a soft ballet,
Cradles her babe in nature's grace.
Wading through waters thick with soul,
She guards her child from dusk till dawn,
With every splash, a whispered goal—
To nurture dreams from dusk till yawn.
In the twilight's hush, they find their peace,
The murky depths a canvas wide,
In this embrace, all fears release,
A symphony where hope won't hide.
Echoes in the Pool
In shadowed depths where moonlight weaves,
The hippo stirs, where stillness breathes,
Ancient tales in water swirl,
Of primal song, life’s vast unfurl.
With sturdy grace, he makes his way,
Through mirrored dreams where rivers play,
Each ripple whispers of the past,
In sunlit hours, shadows cast.
The echoes murmur, wild and free,
Of fleeting joys, of history,
In hippo pools where legends dwell,
And silence sings the stories well.
