Whispers of Summer
In the thick of the afternoon's haze, Sweat beads drip, in sun's golden gaze. Each drop a tale, a memory spun, As whispers of summer embrace everyone. The pavement shimmers, a mirage in sight, Children's laughter carries, pure and light. Heat waves ripple, a shimmering trance, Where shadows sway to the sun's bold stance. Each breath a warmth, a fiery embrace, As lovers stroll at a languid pace. Nature’s heartbeat in a pulse so grand, In the heat of the moment, together we stand.
Stars of Gratitude
As day’s cruel heat begins to wane, The air, once heavy, breathes again, Nightfall drapes its velvet cloak, A soothing balm, as silence spoke. The stars emerge, a twinkling crew, In gratitude for skies of blue, They dance upon the sable sea, Whispering wishes, wild and free. Relief pours in like cool night air, Beneath the cosmos, dreams lay bare, With every shimmer, hopes ignite, In the cool embrace of starry night.
Oasis in the Heat
Beneath the sun's relentless gaze, The rivers shimmer, a mirage ablaze. Parched banks whisper, in soft, wild croon, Nature calls forth, 'Refreshment comes soon.' Emerald leaves dance in a languid delight, As shadows stretch long in the waning light. The water, a mirror, a cool, calming grace, inviting lost souls to find their brief space. With every ripple, hope stirs and bends, A moment of solace, where the earth mends. Though heatwave may scorch and temptation ensue, The heart finds a haven, the river rings true.
