Winter's Lullaby
Beneath the icy quilt, the river sleeps, In whispered curls, its silent passage keeps. Branches bowed, adorned with crystal lace, Nature's breath, a hushed and tranquil space. The sky drapes low, a muted shade of gray, While snowflakes dance, in twirls, they gently sway. Each ripple frozen, cradles winter's breath, A melody composed in quiet death. Oh, chirpless woods, your stillness holds me tight, In frigid grasp, the world drowses at night. The river’s heart beats slow, yet somehow strong, In nature’s stillness, winter sings her song.
Whispers on the Water
Breezes weave through the chilly air, Carrying leaves with delicate flair, Dancing lightly on rippling waves, Nature’s ballet, where stillness paves. Each leaf a whisper, a tale untold, Gathering stories of autumn's gold, They swirl and twirl in a graceful flight, Chasing dreams in the soft twilight. The river hums with a soothing sigh, As the sun dips low in the velvet sky, A tranquil moment, where time takes a pause, In the chill of the evening, the heart finds its cause.
Whispers on Ice
Footsteps crunch on frozen banks, Where chilly rivers weave their pranks, The sun a timid, glimmering ghost, As frost collects, a jeweled host. Beneath the surface, secrets glide, In icy whispers, dreams abide, Each silent step a tale retold, Of winter's grip, both cruel and bold. The branches bow to nature's breath, An ode to life entwined with death, Yet here I tread, with heart aglow, Along the banks where cold winds blow.
