The Duster's Blade
In corners dim, where shadows creep,
A maid with feathers, secrets keep.
Her duster wields a sharper tongue,
With every swipe, new words are flung.
"Oh dust and grime, you traitorous crew!"
She scolds the mess, her fury true.
Each particle, a tale to tell,
Of battles fought and broken spells.
Through sullen halls, her footsteps storm,
With every strike, her temper warms.
With grit she fights, no chore too great,
This grouchy maid, who won’t abate.
Yet underneath her steely eye,
Lies kindness, hidden, tucked awry.
For even while her words may sting,
She knows that chaos must take wing.
Melody of the Maid
In shadows cast by kitchen light,
A maid works through the day and night,
Her hands are quick, her ache is deep,
Yet in her heart, dark secrets keep.
The world she knows is loud and stark,
Each clatter, clang, with biting remark,
But gentle tunes spill from the air,
Muffling the weight of her silent despair.
With broom in hand, she sweeps her fears,
Each note a balm, dissolving tears,
As whispers of a sweet refrain,
Crest over edges of her pain.
A grouchy shell that guards her soul,
Cracks slightly with each heartfelt whole,
For in that music, soft and sweet,
She finds the strength to stand on her feet.
