Whispers and Shouts
In shadows cast by whispering trees,
A silent giver bends with ease.
With every leaf that falls so low,
A gift to earth, a secret flow.
Yet in stark light, the takers stride,
With voices raised, they claim with pride.
They seize the day, their hunger vast,
And turn the present to the past.
The giver smiles, in quiet grace,
Content to dwell in this soft place.
While takers march, with boisterous cheer,
Oblivious to the loss they steer.
So when the dusk begins to fall,
Remember those who give their all.
For in the silence, riches brew,
In giving hearts, a world anew.
The Balance of Hearts
In the garden where kindness blooms,
A giver sows seeds in joyful rooms,
Each flower a gesture, each bud a dream,
A dance of light with a tender gleam.
But shadows linger in corners tight,
A taker waits in the pale moonlight,
With hands outstretched, they pluck and seize,
Turning warm smiles to silent pleas.
Yet the giver persists, though the heart may ache,
Their spirit unbroken, for love's own sake,
While the taker, alone, finds no peaceful rest,
For greed bears a hunger that cannot be quenched.
So here lie the lessons, where paths intertwine,
In the tapestry woven, both yours and mine,
For all that we take, must surely be shared,
In the balance of hearts, true wealth is declared.
The Balance of Hearts
In the hearth of my hand, a glow,
Threads of warmth in a tapestry flow.
Yet shadows stretch, where the coldness snakes,
In the depths of a heart, the giver aches.
Hands that nourish, now feel the frost,
A soul once whole, now counting the cost.
What was offered in light, often fades,
To a void where the warmth of love parades.
Yet still I give, through the shifting night,
Hoping to turn the cold into light.
For in the dance of the giver and take,
Resilience builds, as fragile hearts break.
