Mismatched Harmony
In a sea of boxes, we sail through the strife, With a couch from the thrift store and curtains of life. A chair with one leg, a table that's cracked, Together they twinkle, a jigsaw unpacked. The rug's an odd puzzle, with colors that clash, A lampshade that wobbles, a floral mustache. Each piece tells a story, a tale of the past, Of thrift shop adventures, we found them at last. We’ll laugh at the chaos, the mismatched delight, In this quirky abode, everything feels right. For home isn’t perfect, with symmetry neat, But warmth in the laughter makes all ends meet.
The Sock Expedition
In boxes piled, a mountain high, With every sock, a strange goodbye. One blue, one red, a mismatched crew, Where did you come from? Who is you? The dryer ate your partner dear, A mystery that brings us cheer. With each lost sock, a story told, Of laundry days in times of old. In this new home, we search and seek, Beneath the couch, ‘tween chair and peak, Oh happy finds, a treasure quest, These socks unite, we are so blessed! So let us laugh in moving's dance, For every sock is a second chance. A journey shared, a life anew, With lost socks found, our joy breaks through!
Tape Wars and Stubborn Boxes
Amidst the chaos, laughter ensues, As packing tape takes on stubborn blues. Boxes square, with angles tight, Refusing to yield in the morning light. Duct-taped dreams and cardboard walls, Each box a fortress that barely recalls, The laughter shared, the memories old, In pulling and tugging, our stories unfold. With tape in hand, a playful slap, A battle waged in this moving gap. Who knew a role in the move could delight, As we tape and pack under the soft twilight. So here's to the fights with boxes so bold, Where laughter and tape stories are joyously told. In the mess of moves, one thing rings true: Home is the laughter we carry with you.
