Cowboys and Chickens Two-Step
In a dusty old saloon, where the jukebox sings,
Cowboys gather ‘round for the joy that it brings.
With their hats tipped low and their boots shining bright,
They’re dancing with chickens under the moonlight.
Cluck-cluck, the banjo strums, they give it a whirl,
A cowboy spins a hen, oh what a twirl!
Feathers all fluffed, they shimmy and sway,
While the crowd raises a cheer, 'Hip-hip-hooray!'
With a lasso for laughs and a jig they’ll perform,
These country cowboys break out of norm.
In the heart of the barn, where the good times flow,
A two-step with chickens steals quite the show!
The Spotlight Stealer
In a field where the green grass sways,
A wandering goat brings laughter on sunny days.
With a swagger and leap, he struts with delight,
A country tune playing, he’s stealing the sight.
His hooves tap the rhythm, a low joyful bleat,
As farmers all chuckle, they can’t stay in their seats.
He butts in the chorus, a caprine surprise,
With a twirl and a wink, he’s the star in their eyes.
Under the barn’s roof, where cowboys hang tight,
He sings of adventures through day and through night.
With a playful hijinks, he dances in glee,
A goat on the mic—what a sight to see!
So raise up a glass to this hilarious rogue,
In the heart of the country, he’s the true underdog.
For you see in the laughter, the joy can’t be bought,
When a wandering goat steals the whole country slot.
Heartstrings and High Notes
In a honky-tonk where laughter rings,
A cowboy croons misplaced heartstrings.
With every twang of that old guitar,
He sings of love lost beneath the bar.
His last heartbreak, a comical plight,
She left him for a dog with more bite.
He laughs through the tears, takes a sip of his brew,
Singing, 'At least he’s got a bark that’s true!'
The punchlines roll like tumbleweeds,
As two-steppers shuffle to his misdeeds.
For each tear shed on that stage tonight,
There’s a joke that makes the shadows light.
So raise a glass to the heartache’s blend,
Of laughter and love that never quite ends.
In a world of sorrow and joyful refrain,
Country songs heal the heart through the pain.
