Echoes of Our Ancestors
In whispers soft like autumn leaves,
A tapestry of tales we weave,
From mouths of sages long since passed,
In every thread, their wisdom cast.
Through ages worn, this story flows,
Where faith and hope like rivers grow,
Each stitch a memory, each knot a kiss,
Binding us to who we’ve been, to what we miss.
A mother sings by candlelight,
Of trials faced and dreams in flight,
While shadows dance upon the walls,
Her voice the echo that never falls.
In every heart a legacy,
From ancient lands across the sea,
A bond unbroken through time and space,
Jewish souls in a sacred embrace.
Dance of the Menorah Flames
In the hush of the night, a sacred glow,
Menorah flames begin their dance,
Each flicker a story, a tale to bestow,
In darkness, they sway, a luminous prance.
Golden whispers that beckon the heart,
With courage, they rise against shadows they face,
In unity's warmth, they never depart,
A symbol of faith, of hope, and of grace.
Through trials and tears, their light remains bright,
The Jewish spirit, resilient and free,
In the flame’s gentle curve, we find our insight,
A promise of peace, our eternal decree.
The Seder's Whisper
In candlelight, our voices blend,
A tale of sorrow, joy to mend.
Bitter herbs, the tears of old,
Laughter rises, hearts unfold.
The matzah breaks, traditions hold,
Ancestors’ stories, whispered bold.
Each word a promise, each sip a prayer,
In freedom found, we banish despair.
Four cups we raise, with memories steeped,
In every heart, a covenant kept.
Through trials past, we dance anew,
In sorrow's shadow, joy breaks through.
