Beneath the Blanket
In shadows deep where whispers creep,
A monster lurks, no time for sleep.
With eyes aglow and teeth so bright,
It waits for dusk to claim the night.
Beneath the quilt, warm and tight,
A trembling child quakes in fright.
The silky fabric, a feeble shield,
Against the terror that it wields.
It gnarls and growls, with raspy breath,
A friend turned fiend, it dances with death.
Yet close your eyes and count to three,
For monsters fade when dreams run free.
So fear not, dear heart, just hold you tight!
For in the dawn, there’s no more night.
Under the blanket, it’s just a game,
A trick of shadows, nothing to blame.
Whispers in the Wind
Hush now, dear, it’s time to sleep,
The wind is whispering secrets deep.
Through the trees, it softly sighs,
Tales of shadows and watchful eyes.
Moonlight dances on the floor,
While the wind knocks at the door.
Listen close, it calls your name,
A lullaby wrapped in playful shame.
Twisted branches, winding paths,
Creeping things that stir and laugh.
In the night, the stories creep,
While the wind sings you to sleep.
So close your eyes, don't be afraid,
For in the dark, the light is made.
Let the chilling whispers blend,
With dreams that dance where shadows end.
