In shadowed vale where silence reigns,
A heart, once crowned, now knows its chains.
With whispered prayers like desert waves,
He seeks the light where sorrow graves.
Through thorny paths and jagged stone,
His spirit longs, yet feels alone.
Each psalm, a song of yearning deep,
In rugged lands where shadows creep.
O Lord, my refuge, hear my plea,
In wilderness, I turn to Thee.
Let rivers of Thy mercy flow,
And quench the thirst of longing’s woe.
A Crown Torn Asunder
In fields of war, where courage stayed,
A shepherd boy, a king betrayed.
