Melody of the River
The river flows, a mournful tune, Beneath the silver crescent moon. With every bend, a story weeps, In whispers soft, the water keeps. A lonesome cry from banks of stone, Where shadows linger, and dreams have blown. Its sighs are woven in twilight's lace, A symphony of time and space. Oh, country blues, in hues of gray, The river's heart knows how to sway. It sings of sorrows, joys, and strife, The echo of an ancient life.
Whiskey and Whispers
On the creaking boards of a worn front porch, Where the evening light begins to scorch, With a glass of whiskey, smooth and deep, I share my tales, some laugh, some weep. The crickets sing in a southern tune, As stars peek shyly, one by one, by noon. With every sip, the stories flow, Of love and loss that only we know. The moon's a witness, a silver friend, To secrets spoken as the night descends. With country blues strumming soft and slow, I find my heart where the warm winds blow.
Midnight Whistles
In the hush of night where shadows creep, A lonesome train calls from the deep, Its whistle cries, a haunting sound, Echoing through the starlit ground. The moon hangs low, a silver thread, Awash in dreams, where the restless tread, Each note it blows, a tale untold, Of wandering souls and hearts of gold. The iron wheels on tracks unspool, A rhythm born from a country school, Memories ride on each passing train, Whispers of joy, and echoes of pain. So listen close when the night is still, For the train’s soft song, it seeks to fill, The lonely spaces, the aching air, With country blues and a lover's prayer.

Mountain Shadows
In the dusk where the shadows cling, Whispers of heartache the steep hills bring, Beneath the pines, so tall and true, Lies a love I lost, hidden from view. The breeze it carries a sweet lament, Of laughter shared and a time well spent, Now echoes fade down the winding trail, As memories linger, like a ghostly wail. Country blues seep through twilight’s veil, Each note a story, each sigh a tale, In mountain shadows, I walk alone, Searching for solace where love has flown.
Moonlit Melodies
Underneath the silver glow, Where shadows whisper tales of woe, The old guitar begins to sing, Each note a memory, sweet as spring. Moonlight dances, soft and free, On weathered wood, my soul's decree, A strum, a hum, the night awakes, As country blues from deep heart breaks. Stars join in, a twinkling choir, With every chord, stoking desire, In this sweet hour, all is right, The old guitar, my heart's delight.
