In the quiet of the night, thoughts collide,
Like a storm held captive, they cannot glide.
Words once flowing, like rivers set free,
Now held at bay, in a dam, just for me.
Imagination churns, in dark, silent dread,
Each flicker of insight caught, softly bled.
Trapped in the tension, my mind starts to ache,
Yearning for release, for the artistry's sake.
Cracks in the surface begin to appear,
A whisper of verses floats, timid, unclear.
I dare to unleash, with a breath and a sigh,
Let the dam break open, oh, let passions fly!
Flicker in the Dark
In the quiet corners of the mind,
A flicker glows, tender and kind.
Amidst the shadows of blank despair,
Hope lingers softly, breathing air.
Words tangled tight, a hesitant thread,
Whispers of stories still left unsaid.
The dam holds firm, yet cracks begin to form,
In the stillness, the heart beats warm.
Waiting for the flood to break through,
Ink will spill like morning dew.
With each blink, a wave prepares to rise,
And from the depths, the muse finally flies.
