Veil of Night
Night falls, and darkness wraps around,
A shroud of silence, where dreams are drowned.
Whispers of shadows dance on the wall,
In the depths of despair, I hear their call.
Stars flicker faintly, like hopes long lost,
Each moment a battle, each breath a cost.
The weight of the moon brings tears to my eyes,
As I weave through the echoes of soft, silent cries.
Yet beneath this enigma, a flicker remains,
A glimmer of courage amid the refrains.
For even in darkness, where sorrow must tread,
The dawn will break forth, as new light is spread.
Echoes of Silence
In the hush of dying light,
Where shadows stretch and whisper low,
Silent screams take their flight,
Tracing sorrows that seldom show.
Walls hold tales of aching fear,
Echoes linger, heavy, real;
Fingers trace what no one hears,
Pain concealed, a secret seal.
The emptiness, a weighty shroud,
Each breath a battle, fought and lost;
In solitude, the heart resounds,
For every silence bears its cost.
Yet still the night draws breath anew,
In quiet resolve, I seek the dawn;
For in the dark, I’ll find what’s true—
A spark of hope can’t be withdrawn.
Shadows of Hope
In twilight's grasp, where silence weeps,
The shadows linger, where hope once leaped.
A garden desolate, with petals worn,
The blooms of joy now faded, forlorn.
Whispers of dreams drift softly away,
In the cold embrace of a dull gray day.
Yet in the cracks, where darkness may creep,
Faint glimmers of light stir from the deep.
So let the shadows in sorrow reside,
For even in despair, new seeds can abide.
Though storms may rage and the night feels long,
In the heart's quiet garden, love’s spark is strong.
