Whispers of the Barn
In fields where wildflowers sway and dance, An old barn stands, lost in a trance. Weathered wood, a tapestry aged, Tales of the past in its silence are caged. Rusty hinges creak like a timeworn song, Echoes of laughter where memories belong. Each beam a witness to seasons that passed, Straw-scented moments in sunlight cast. Through cracked windows, the sunbeams spill, Kissing the dust, the air becomes still. With whispers of harvest, of toil and of grace, The barn holds the heartbeat of this sacred space. So linger a while in its shadowed embrace, And listen closely, for time leaves its trace. In the rustle of leaves and the soft lull of life, The old barn whispers through joy and through strife.
Harvest Gatherings
Beneath the sky, a canvas wide, Where golden fields and laughter bide, Neighbors gather, hearts entwined, A potluck spread, delight designed. Tables laden, colors bright, Casseroles and pies, a true delight, From garden greens to fresh-baked bread, Stories shared, sweet words unsaid. Children play, their joy a song, In this embrace, we all belong, With every bite and every cheer, Country life, and friendships dear.
