Dancing Socks
In a drawer they lie, mismatched hues,
A polka dot left with stripes, what to choose?
Together they twirl, in a ballet of flair,
Baffled yet joyful, they dance without care.
On my feet they tango, one blue, one red,
Next to the slippers, they leap and they spread.
With jingles and giggles, they laugh in the air,
These silly old socks, a whimsical pair.
Breakfast Banter
In the kitchen, laughter sings,
Bacon sizzles as morning springs.
Pancakes flipping, golden brown,
Breakfast chatter, joy renowned.
Syrup rivers, sweet cascade,
Jokes and stories, memories made.
Bacon dances, crispy delight,
Morning mayhem, pure delight.
Whisking eggs with heart and care,
Pouring love in every layer.
A recipe for giggles shared,
In this kitchen, none impaired.
So gather round, let laughter flow,
With bacon pancakes, steal the show.
In breakfast’s warmth, we find our place,
Charmed by chatter, know no race.
Milo's Moonlit Ambition
In a quiet house, where shadows loom,
Lived a tiny mouse named Milo, with dreams to zoom.
He stared at the sky, with a twitch of his nose,
"I want to soar high, where the wild moon glows!"
With a cap made of paper, and wings from a shoe,
He climbed on a chair, shouted, "I’ll fly, it’s true!"
But the leap was a flop, he landed with a thud,
In a soft pile of laundry, and a big heap of suds.
His friends all gathered and whispered with glee,
"Milo, you silly, just drink some more tea!"
But Milo was dreaming, not one to relent,
"I’ll fly to the moon, for my heart’s only bent!"
So he fashioned a rocket from cheese and from string,
And plotted his course with a cheese slice for bling.
When the night filled with stars, he climbed aboard tight,
With a smile on his whiskers, he wished for good flight.
Oh, up, up he went, with a giggle, not fear,
Through the clouds he sailed, making friends with each tear.
But alas, with a squeak, the cheese melted down,
Milo plummeted back to his soft, cozy town.
He sighed as he landed, still dreaming quite clear,
"Tomorrow I’ll fly, oh, I’m never to veer!"
For a mouse with such dreams, who believes in a tune,
Can find joy in the chase, even if not to the moon!
