Anticipation in the Air
Beneath a canopy of wandering dreams, Arrival boards flash in neon gleams, A symphony of travelers, hopes tied in flight, Whispers of journeys, alight with delight. Faces drawn near, with eyes all aglow, Counting the moments, as time starts to slow, Each tick of the clock, a heartbeat anew, In the bustling terminal, a world to pursue. Laughter and tears, a reunion embraced, Strangers transformed, connections retraced, From different horizons, they gather once more, At the crossroads of longing, where dreams soar. With bags filled with stories, they step off the plane, Fresh chapters await, no trace of the pain, As the airport hums with the stories it saves, Anticipation ignites, where every heart waves.
Tarmac Time
In the crowded hall, a restless sigh, Luggage laden dreams, as hours drift by. Announcement chimes with a teasing delay, Patience wears thin, like the end of the day. Chairs hold the weary, each face a story, Traveling hearts in the waiting room's glory. Time stretches wide under fluorescent glow, While hopes soar high, like a bird in the snow. Wings poised for takeoff, but the clock stands still, A dance of the clock hands, a test of one’s will. Yet laughter erupts in the dull, dreary air, For every flight delayed brings new tales to share.
