Waltz with Shadows
In silence deep, the shadows creep, Beneath the moon's embrace, I sweep, A dance with demons, veiled in night, Whispers haunt me, out of sight. Each step I take, a fleeting chance, To break the chains, to end the dance, But in this solitude, I find my grace, In bitter sweetness, I hold this place. They twirl around, with eyes that gleam, Each pulse a pulse, a fevered dream, In this ballroom of despair, I sway, Addiction's symphony leads me astray. Yet through the pain, I learn to breathe, In shadows' clutch, I weave and seethe, With each pirouette, I know the way, To face the dawn, to break the day.
Chasing Shadows
Fingers trembling, the pulse is a race, Mind like a wildfire, it’s lost in the chase. Whispers of longing that dance in the night, Promises bold, yet they flicker from sight. Caught in a spiral, I’m tethered to need, Each thought a thorn, each craving a seed. In shadows I wander, through whispers of vice, Trading my silence for glittering dice. Oh, sweet addiction, my cruel, fervent friend, You hold me so close, yet you never pretend. With you, I am soaring, with you, I am small, Fingers trembling, lost in it all.
