Rusty Wheels and Dusty Trails
Beneath the endless, blazing sky,
Where dust and whispers danced and flew,
The clang of laughter, wild and spry,
On rusty bikes, our dreams raced true.
With wheels that spun on golden trails,
Through fields where fireflies skated light,
We chased the echoes of our tales,
In small town corners, hearts took flight.
The sun-soaked days of endless play,
As shadows stretched across the lane,
Together, we would laugh and sway,
Through every joy, each wild refrain.
Now, when the summer breezes blow,
I hear the memories softly call,
Of dusty roads and hearts aglow,
In Oklahoma's sweet, nostalgic thrall.
Whispers of Oklahoma
In fields where wildflowers blurred the lines,
Tall grass sways, a dance of time entwined.
Sunset glow through whispers soft and sweet,
Echoes of childhood in each gentle breeze.
Barefoot laughter, our spirits took flight,
Chasing the fireflies in the warm twilight.
The creek would sing with secrets left untold,
While shadows danced in dreams of purest gold.
In the heart of small town, where memories cling,
The rustling grass recalls the joy of spring.
Beneath the wide sky, with clouds drifting past,
I find a piece of forever in whispers that last.
Summer's Golden Whispers
In a backyard frame, where memories play,
Laughter weaves through the warm, golden day.
Underneath wide skies, our joy took flight,
Chasing shadows and dreams in the fading light.
Tag, you’re it! We’d shout, with hearts that raced,
Through grass-stained knees and sun’s sweet embrace.
Hide and seek where the old oak trees sway,
Time slowed down, and worries drifted away.
With fireflies dancing as dusk stole the scene,
We’d gather our tales like leaves, evergreen.
Endless summer echoes, so simple, so bright,
In our small town haven, we found pure delight.
