On Rockaway's sands where the sunlight gleams,
We set up our court with ambitious dreams.
A volley, a dive, laughter rings clear,
As teammates collide, their faces sincere.
One leaps for the serve, a comet in flight,
But lands in a tangle, oh what a sight!
With giggles erupting, we rise from the heap,
In the chaos of play, the memories we keep.
The ball soars like seagulls, wild and untamed,
As laughter becomes the only goal claimed.
In a beach volleyball frenzy, our spirits collide,
In joy and confusion, together we glide.
Summer Whirl at Rockaway
Oh, Rockaway Beach, where the breezes play,
With windy hair and sun-kissed skin all day.
Summer's silly embrace, a joyous lark,
As waves dance around, and seagulls embark.
Flip-flops flapping with every wild stride,
Ice cream drips down—oh, let’s not hide!
A sunburned nose, laughter marks the scene,
In this sandy circus, we’re all just keen.
Picnics spread out, towels like flags unfurl,
A beach ball bounces, in laughter we twirl.
Every moment a treasure, a sweet, sweet tease,
At Rockaway Beach, the heart finds its breeze!
Wipeout Waves
At Rockaway where the surfers dare,
They ride the swell with nary a care.
But oh! The ocean, with a mischievous wink,
Plays tricks on bold hearts — makes them rethink!
A wave surges high, like a jousting knight,
The brave ones paddle, with hope in their sight.
But just as they rise on that cresting tide,
The sea gives a giggle; they tumble and slide.
Plunging into blue, a grand splash of fun,
The ocean’s embrace, a hug on the run.
Giggling shells cheer, as surfers take flight,
In Rockaway’s laughter, the day feels just right.
