Whispers in the Night
Beneath the silvered glow, he creeps, A kid with dreams the silence keeps. With pockets lined in twilight’s hue, He gathers lines, both fresh and new. Under the watch of the midnight sky, He steals the dreams that flutter by. Whispers of poets, like fireflies, Turn into secrets, a child’s prize. Each stolen word, a morsel sweet, A banquet served on moonlit street. In shadows soft, they swirl and dance, The language born of stolen chance. So let him soar, this joyful thief, With every verse, he finds relief. For in the night, beneath the beams, He crafts a world from borrowed dreams.
The Poem Thief
In shadowed corners, whispers creep, A little thief, where secrets sleep. With nimble fingers, soft as air, He swipes the sonnets, unaware. From slumbering tomes, the pages sigh, As dreams awake and fly awry. Stolen lines in the moon’s soft light, A treasure trove of words in flight. Each stanza captured, a secret kept, In pockets deep where silence wept. With innocent eyes, he roams the night, A child of wonder, a poet's sprite.
