Ephemeral Echoes
In whispers soft, the seconds flee, A fleeting moment, lost to me, Like shadows cast by dying light, It dances just beyond my sight. A breath, a smile, a fleeting glance, Life’s fragile thread invites the chance, To hold the now, yet find it gone, A fleeting dream at breaking dawn. Time's hand, the thief, with gentle art, Transposes life, tears us apart, Though whispers fade in memory's ghost, It’s in the fleeting that we feel the most.
Fleeting Sands
Time flows like sand through idle fingers, Each grain a moment, a whisper, a sigh. In the hourglass of life, where memory lingers, We grasp for tomorrow, yet watch it slip by. The past is a shadow, the future a dream, In the river of now, we float and we bleed. With echoes of laughter, and thoughts that redeem, We chase fleeting seconds, yet never succeed. With every heartbeat, the clock marks our dance, A ballet of comfort, of loss, and of gain. In the silence of hours, we find our strange chance, To embrace the unknown, to revel in pain.
