Silent Slumber
Winter's breath, a chilling sigh,
Silences trees, 'neath grayish sky.
Leafless giants, stark and bare,
Whisper secrets, the frosty air.
In slumber deep, their dreams entwine,
Of sunlit days when leaves would shine.
But patiently waits the gentle thaw,
To paint the world with nature's draw.
As springtime calls, with warming light,
New buds will bloom, a vibrant sight.
Life cycles through, in seasons’ flow,
From winter's rest, creation’s glow.
Whispers of Leaves
In summer's gentle, warm embrace,
Leaves whisper secrets, soft and faded,
Dancing lightly, a green lace,
In sunlight's kiss, they are paraded.
Born in spring, with hopes so bright,
They flutter forth, young dreams unfurled,
Each vibrant shade, a testament to light,
Their stories woven, with life they twirled.
As days grow short, and fall arrives,
They blush in hues of gold and fire,
A final bow, as nature thrives,
They drift and swirl, fulfilling their desire.
Gone in winter’s silent sigh,
Yet under snow, their whispers stay,
For every leaf must bid goodbye,
To bloom anew, another day.
