The Lament of Spoiled Milk
In the fridge, a bottle waits, A soldier of the past, it states, With a label peeling, time once bright, Now cloaked in sour, it shuns the light. A treasure turned to stinky bane, Once creamy whispers, now a stain, It dreams of days when it was fresh, Now curdled echoes wrap the flesh. Oh, pungent dream from nature's hand, A bitter tale of milk so grand, In every drop, a memory clings, Of sunlight's dance and childhood swings. But now, it strikes a tragic pose, A potion turned to foul repose, So heed the tale of time's cruel art, For beauty fades, yet lingers hard.
The Skunk Parade
In twilight's hush, the skunks appear, A pungent parade, drawing near. With tails held high, they strut with pride, Nature's encore, in black and white, they glide. Through wildflower fields, the air's alive, Each step they take, the bold and brave thrive. A waltz of scents, their legacy flows, In every whiff, the wild heart knows. So let them dance, let them thrive, For in their presence, the wilds revive. With laughter and grace, they claim the night, Stinky but vibrant, a joyful sight.
The Shoes by the Door
Oh, stinky shoes by the door, they lie, Once so proud, now they sigh, Daily journeys, they’ve seen it all, But now they beckon, like a sad call. Mud and memories, a fragrant blend, A tango of sweat, where two socks end, With laces untied, to breathe free air, Who knew these soles could cause despair? Each creak they make, a woeful tune, Like echoes of laughter or the sun at noon, Yet still, we love them, our trusty friends, For stinky shoes, a journey never ends.
