Peeling Layers
In shadowed rooms where echoes creep,
I wander deep, my secrets steep.
Each layer shed, a silent scream,
The core of me, the broken dream.
A mask of smiles, so boldly worn,
Beneath, the heart is bruised and torn.
Fears whispered low, in twilight's grasp,
Yet courage blooms in darkness, clasped.
To peel these layers, raw and real,
Is to unearth the strength we feel.
For in that space where truth is bare,
Awakens love, dissolves despair.
Veil of Courage
In shadows thick, our secrets lie,
A whispered truth, a silent cry,
To peel the layers, bare the soul,
Requires a strength that makes us whole.
The mirror stares, reflection rare,
Fears dance like ghosts around the air,
Yet deep inside, a beacon glows,
A courage born, the heart bestows.
To be unmasked, to stand revealed,
In vulnerability, our truth is sealed,
With every breath, let spirits soar,
For in being seen, we’re evermore.
Behind the Veil
In shadows cast by whispered fears,
We tread in masks of painted cheer.
Each smile a shield, each laugh a moat,
Hiding the depths our hearts devote.
Beneath the guise of vibrant hues,
Lie scars and tales we dare not choose.
Yet in the stillness, truth will stir,
Yearning for light, to strip the blur.
With every tear our spirits bleed,
The masks we wear mislead our need.
So let us peel the layers free,
Embrace the self, and simply be.
