Laughter's Lament
In shadows cast by crumbling skies, Echoes of laughter whisper goodbyes, Bright notes once danced on a breeze so light, Now swallowed whole by the coming night. What joy was once, in the golden hour, Fades to silence, stripped of all power, When winds of fate tune a bitter dirge, And mankind's hopes in the void converge. Yet still, in echoes, a glimmer remains, Of laughter's warmth, through the crumbling plains, A ghostly reminder of days long past, As doomsday’s veil falls, shadows cast.
When Stars Fall Silent
In the hush where starlight used to weep, A cosmic elegy, the voids now seep. Once bright mosaics of night’s gentle lace, Now shadows whisper in the cold embrace. Galaxies tremble, their tales unspun, As ancient suns bow down, eclipsed by none. A requiem echoes through the emptiness vast, Each twinkling memory, a breath from the past. Doomsday descends on this celestial stage, Where once we danced 'neath the luminescent page. With hearts held close, we linger in awe, As even the stardust awaits the last draw.
