Whispers of Anxiety
In shadows deep, where silence clings, Breath held tight, the heartstrings sing. Thoughts spiral like leaves in a storm, Trembling whispers, a mind not warm. Fingers trace lines of an anxious fate, Each tick of time feels like a weight. But in this storm, a flicker of light, Hope weaves through the fabric of night. With every breath, the chaos may fade, In the stillness, a fortress is made. So I will stand, though nerves may dance, Finding strength in the fleeting chance.
Shadows in the Dawn
In the silence where whispers dwell, Nightmares weave their shadowed spell. Awake but caught in dream’s tight grasp, Fearful echoes, a pulse that clasp. The ticking clock, a steady beat, As phantoms dance on tired feet. Eyes wide open, heart in flight, In waking hours, they steal the light. In corners dark, they softly creep, Into my mind, where secrets seep. Afraid to turn, afraid to stay, Nervous thoughts, they twist and sway. But dawn breaks through, a fragile hope, Beneath the weight, I try to cope. Though nightmares tug at dreams I seek, In morning's light, I find my strength to speak.
Doubt's Vice
In shadowed corners of my mind, Doubt weaves its chains, so tight, entwined. Like iron grips, it pulls me down, A whispered fear, a silent frown. Each question swirls like autumn leaves, A forest dark, where no one cleaves. I stumble past the roads ahead, While echoes of the 'what-ifs' spread. Yet in this shroud, a spark persists, A glimmer bold, through clenched fists. For though the vice might seek to bind, Hope's gentle voice ignites the mind.
