Whispers of the Twisted
In a cockeyed world where shadows bend, Twisted trees in twilight softly blend. Secrets murmur on the evening air, As dusk unveils their stories laid bare. Gnarled branches twist in a spectral dance, Each leaf a whisper, each root a chance. They sway with tales of love and despair, Hidden deep in their bark, tales rare. Crickets chirp, a symphony of night, As the stars awaken, a pale silver light. In this crooked realm where the wild things lie, The twisted trees share their secrets, oh my.
Flickering Echoes
In a cockeyed world, the streetlights sway, Wonky flickers dance in a forgotten ballet, Whispers of shadows cast long on the ground, Rhythms of silence in chaos resound. The moon chuckles softly, a winking bright sage, As dreams wade through puddles, unfurl on the stage, Each flash a reminder, each glow a refrain, Of lives intertwined, like shadows in rain. So we stroll through the flicker, our hearts a bit light, Embracing the quirky, the beauty in slight, For in this odd rhythm, we find our sweet song, In the cockeyed embrace, is where we belong.
