Veil of Autumn
In fog's embrace, the ancient stones,
Whisper secrets of time-worn thrones,
A shroud of gray, like dreams unspooled,
Where history sleeps, and silence ruled.
Beneath the cloak, the ivy clings,
A tapestry of muted things,
Each breath of mist, a tale begun,
As leaves succumb to autumn's run.
The chill in air, a haunting song,
Where echoes linger, deep and strong,
In Britain's heart, the fog does waltz,
Serenading all the ancient vaults.
Whispers of Autumn
In Britain where the crisp air calls,
The leaves, a tapestry, gently fall.
Warm scarves wrapped tightly, we stroll and sway,
As golden hues dance in the fading day.
The hearth glows softly, a flickering light,
Embracing the chill of the coming night.
Footsteps echo on the cobbled stone,
In this autumn embrace, we’re never alone.
With every breath, the season speaks,
In rustling winds and the laughter it seeks.
As pumpkins glow and the nights grow long,
Autumn sings gently, a familiar song.
